Falling off the wagon!!

So its pretty much official I am off the weight loss wagon & I NEED to get back on! I knew it would be hard but I didn't think it would be THIS hard! I am going to try to focus less on the numbers and MORE on how I feel. I know in the past I had luck using Myfitnesspal (ckohler502 FIND ME we can motivate each other) so I am going to give that a try again along with a little bit more of a strict eating/working out regimen. I know its pretty much what everyone else says, I have even said it before on this blog... but I am going to go all in this time. I feel entirely too good when I am in the gym and eating cleaner that I should not put my body through the weight loss roller coaster and not good for your body food.

The best part about all of this is, I have done it before & I know I can do it again! I just need to stick to my guns and follow through.

Anyone out there feeling the same way I am?
Any good recipes?
Send me some motivation!!!

Last Vday post I promise

About a month ago I signed up for a Valentines day swap with Fabulous but Evil ! It was my very first blogger swap! I was so excited if anyone knows me, they know I love to give and receive presents. They are pretty much my favorite though I am awful at keeping secrets! So I was partnered up with Erin at Coffee level critical ! When I got the package in the mail I wasn't even home! My Hubby called me and told me knowing it would brighten my day. He asked me if I wanted him to open it so he could tell me what was in it.. pshh I know his tricky ways!

I didn't get any photos pre-opened package because I couldn't contain my excitement! But I did take this... (on my very fancy work quilt that I got from Target a year ago haha)

In the package there was a box of chocolate covered pretzels individually wrapped so I don't HAVE to eat them all at once (but I may - I had one and I want another already) 2 pair of earrings, that I'm searching for something cute to wear with & Sea island cotton body lotion from Bath & Body works.

I gave her a DIY wreath that you can re-use for every season/holiday. I decorated it for V-Day and she can work some magic for the others, a re-usable craft/shopping bag, hot pink nail polish, high socks (v-day themed), little tissues & a small bag of sweet tarts :) I think it was a great swap and I look forward to more!

Thank you so much Erin! Hope you enjoyed your package!

V-Day isnt just for lovin'

Its also for home remodeling... if your off work of course.

Valentines day. It was pretty amazing. I woke up at work & went directly to Fishtown. Where I get my good ole' taxes done. My tax man is pretty awesome anyone in the Philadelphia area looking for someone let me know! I have your guy. With the house and moving out of state I knew it was going to be a little more difficult this year but I made out pretty well. I owe DE which is stupid. Especially after only living there for 5 months and I owe them 500+$! So not only do I pay my property tax I also pay about 100$ a month in tax just to live in the state? Either way I did make out good so enough about that.

When I got home I woke up Mr.B. We exchanged gifts - here is what I got!!
A new heart bead (the shiny one not the one with horns)!! I also was gifted some pretty awesome roses, carnations a frog teddy and candies. Oh and one of the sweetest cards hes ever written. I got him a Philadelphia Union jersey - they just got a new 'kit' which means they changed all their uniforms - which really means I was out 80$ for a pretty blue jersey.
After our gift exchange we went to a diner for brunch. Once we got home we were on a painting whim. We painted and removed this ugly thing - The cast iron looking room divider. YUCK yuck yuck. It was so hard and left ugly marks in my nice wooden floors but we were able to fill them and they look like new. Here is another picture of it.... kind of looking through...

Which leads us to the wall between the kitchen & dining room that we came to a compromise on. We are going to make it a half wall/bar looking like a thing. But we are going to leave a column at the door frame so we don't have to re-wire any of the electric.
Here's how its looking mid-painting. We are painting both rooms the same color I call it yellow and Mr.B calls it goldishh with a bright white trim. We wanted to try to keep it continuous so the rooms would look bigger which I think is very well accomplished. Please don't mind the everything mess!

We have a few more hours of hard work and love to put into it... This weekend we are borrowing my Dads truck so we can make our final cosmetic purchase for it - wait for it... wait for it.... a chair rail! I am pretty excited. After all of our hard work painting I was ordered to go get a pedicure. While I was reluctant - yeah right I pretttty much ran out of the house Mr.B made me this fancy meal (as if I didn't already load you up with pictures... here are some more) My lovely dinner, a very lovely rose & my v-day pedicure!
&& after dinner we relaxed and watched Shriek!
Hope you all had a wonderful Valentines day!

MIA

& No I'm not talking about the performer.

I am so worn out! I cant begin to explain everything in detail but this past week has been a whirl wind. With stupid school kid drama, working on the house, getting my taxes done, the Internet at work being on the fritz & Valentines day! Whew.

I have a bit to catch you all up on! Today might be a multi post kinda day. Lets try to catch up a little shall we? Last week I actually posted on Monday and then Tuesday & Wednesday I was off from work & we all know I'm not usually one to post while I'm at home when there is always something that I want needs to get done. When I got into work on Thursday the internet was down! Now call me crazy but you shouldn't be allowed to put 15+ people in a building for 24 straight hours with out the internet. Okay well maybe you could. I have my phone which thankfully I have an unlimited data plan, but blogging from my phone just seems like a lot. So I didn't... Well Friday - lovely Friday. It was awful. I actually declared strike! I was home cleaning all day and taping (for paint) the living room then my wonderful Husband decided we were going to his friends birthday party. It was a good time - but open bar = drama. Or at least in my life it did this weekend. I am no angel & it wasn't a good night for me. To get the point across without getting into detail I ended up mad at the world. After a fiasco of a night I decided it was only right to call out of work on Saturday and I was off Sunday. Monday back at work the internet is still out of whack!!! When the internet is down at work I really don't want do ANYTHING other then read. So I guess its not too bad for the internet to be down every so often but twice in one week.. now that's pushin it. & that brings us to yesterday.. ... ..

And I will save that for another post.

February 6th ALREADY!?

Holy cow batman! Its already the 6th of Feb and I've only written one post? Wow. Well let me catch you up. I actually tried 2 things from pintrest! I know I'm getting a little crazy here but here goes!

Redvelvet cheesecake swirl brownies source

Heart shape cuppycakes! Source

Well the Red Velvet Cheesecake swirl turned out delightful! I took half of it to my parents and it didn't last 2 days and the other half stayed with Mr.B and I - We nibbled until there was none left. For sure something I'd make again. Then Sunday for the Superbowl I made those heart cupcakes. I sorta maybe overfilled the cupcake liners and the hearts didn't look too heart like until I iced them. Though they were not the prettiest they still were delightful.

This weekend I cleaned my house from top to bottom! It felt so good to have no limited clutter everywhere! Though we have been in the house since August we still don't have a 'home' for everything. We still need things and we have a lot of work to do which I understand takes a while - but I just want to get pictures on the walls SO I really want to finish our bedroom and paint the living room. Our bedroom only needs the ceiling and molding painted bright white (until we decide its time to tear down the wall for our fancy french doors) and the living room needs nothing except for paint. If we do anything to it, it will only be cosmetic. So I think the next two days that I'm off I am going to head out to home depot and get a gallon of paint. Hopefully on Wednesday I will have some pictures to show ya.

In other news I need help. My oldest sisters 30th birthday is on the 19th and I want to take her out to do something. Any Philadelphians have a good idea? She isn't a partier like wanting to be at a club or anything but she likes to go out and have fun!

I'll leave you with this lovely - Oh P.S. picking JUST 100 pictures for our album is one of the hardest things EVER. Once I get them ordered I am going to head to sams club for a print fest with the rest of them...

Got Cha!

One of my new blogging buddies Nicole from Pampers & Pumps tagged me in a survey so I figured I would so it for giggles.

I have to name 11 random facts, then answer 11 questions she gave me - make up 11 questions & then tag 11 people! Whew.

Here goes

1. I am the youngest of three
2. I have a thing for VW's
3. I am a complete daddys girl & proud
4. I am a total sissy when I'm home alone. I sometimes walk around with my husbands pistol
5. I hate walking by windows in fear someone will jump up and scare me
6. I need to go back to school
7. My dad allowed me to shave my legs for the first time and I reeked of mens shaving gel for days
8. I don't have a favorite dog but if I did it would be Oscar
9. I have panic attacks if my cell phone battery goes under 20%
10. I wish I could speak German
11. I love baseball and could sit and talk it for hours

My questions from Nicole

1. Which is the celebrity or actor you would want to date? If possible and I could only pick ONE actor I would pick Ryan Gosling. I mean lets be real. He's Mr.Wonderful. Look at those eyes!!! We'd make beautiful babies. Just sayin.
2. Describe yourself in a single sentence?

3. What is your favorite song? Ugh this is so hard. I would say Wrapped up in you - just because it is my wedding song but Its a fun country song. I like all types of music - Right now I think sexy and I know it my LMAFO is the most played on my Ipod AMAZING workout music

4. If you were to be reborn who would you want to be born as? A dog. No really perfect life if you've got a good owner. Your fed, petted, taken out (or let out) sleep like 20 hours a day.

5. Name the one household chore you would never do again if you didn't have to. I would never DUST again if I didn't have to. I don't mind cleaning and getting down and dirty but there is seriously NO WAY to remove dust. Its pretty much just pushing it around and once you get it pushed around enough to where it looks semi okay - three days later its dusty again!

6. What is your favorite TV show? Humm. I love all things CSI - NCIS - Law and Order - Rizolli and Isles..

7. What is the furthest you've traveled? For work? I've been deployed to the middle east twice & Pleasure I went to Germany to visit my family once. It was ah-ma-zing and I would live there if I knew I had a job and a place to stay.

8. What is something you would do if you were more daring? If I were more daring I would try to live off the land. Now don't get it twisted. I'm not a tree hugging nut but really, people are currently doing it and have done it for years in the past. It can be done! I'm sure it would be a HUGE culture shock and a whole new way of life. So that's what I'd TRY if I were more daring but for now I'll stick with my laptop, iPhone and cable TV

9. What is you're idea of the perfect date. This one isn't too hard. Dress up, Picked up in a Nice car. Opens door for me. Good conversation - dinner maybe go for a walk along a river or a fun city street. I'm not into the movie thing... so maybe an arcade or outdoor cafe to sit and talk.

10. What is the grossest thing you've ever consumed? No bullshit once I ate cow tongue soup. I didn't know it was cow tongue didn't taste like it but once I was told I was instantly sick. Its some German recipe. GROSS

11. Do you have any weird obsessions?  I don't know if its an obsession but I have a type A personality. I like to do everything. When I was planning my wedding it was so hard to let someone else take over and do something I had to be there and watch. Ugh today I asked Mr.B to go to the post office I must have called him 3 times to see if hes done it yet.. DON'T WORRY HE HAS. whew.

Now to make up 11 questions...
1. What is your favorite hobby?
2. What do you think is the ideal job & why?
3. If you could be a  globetrotter where would your first stop be?
4. What website do you go to when you first log onto your computer?
5. If you could pick one could only watch one movie for the rest of your life what would it be?
6. Name one condiment that you use on everything?
7. How old were you when you experienced your first kiss - explain!
8. What is one piece of clothing you could not live without?
9. If you were rich what would you spend your first 20$ doing?
10. If your house was on fire and you could only grab one thing what would it be? (not a person or pet)
11. What is something you are addicted to? (blogging, pintrest, facebook, coffee, loud music)

&& Don't want to post anyone to specifically do this because I know a lot of the bloggers I follow already have BUT if you do do this let me know so I can check it out!
